We originally scheduled a tour for June 10th but the weather prevented us from flying and Talkeetna Air gave us no problem with canceling. We were not sure we were going to be able to schedule another flight so they gave us a full refund. The next day the weather was better, but still cloudy, so we went to Talkeetna early and decided to take a chance by walking to Talkeetna Air to see if they could schedule us for a last minute flight. They were graciously able to accommodate us. Trent was an excellent pilot and gave us some great views. I would highly recommend Talkeetna Air for their customer service and friendly pilot. Smooth flight, amazing views, professional pilot. Provided necessary information about the landscape and didn't ask questions, my ideal tour guide. Staff at the office warm and very accommodating, also professional and knew how to work a crowd. 5/5 would recommend to a friend, and would do again. (Photos taken from plane and on glacier) We us Talkeetna Air Taxi's helicopter for flying guests into our lodge and to get us and our clients deep into the mountains for heli-hiking and camping. They are very nice and professional. I highly recommend Talkeetna Air Taxi! Friends and I recently completed a Denali Climbing expedition, and I highly recommend TAT for your expedition needs. They cater to the climbers during the climbing season, with a focus on getting you onto and off of the glacier in a timely fashion. Their Basecamp personnel welcome the plane, and make getting fuel and getting going easy. She also did an outstanding job of coordinating basecamp departure, allowing us to keep our tent up as long as possible, while giving us plenty of warning before our flight out to get the tent down and get our gear assembled. The pilots were outstanding, efficient, yet friendly and informative. During our "Talkeetna Hang" (waiting for flying weather), the staff at TAT was helpful, friendly and accommodating. They willingly gave us rides to/from Talkeetna, they let us have coffee, relax in/around the office, and happily explained what was happening with the glacier weather. Tom was exceptionally helpful in getting our gear weighed and prepped for the flight as well as giving/arranging rides to/from Talkeetna when we needed them. Also, having the bunk-house for climbers was fantastic. You never know when you are going to get stuck doing the Talkeetna Hang, and having a place to crash was great (not 5 star accommodations, but for a climber it was great). Although I didn't participate in a tourist flight, hanging around TAT, I observed that they take great pride in making sure that their flight-seeing tours are excellent, everyone getting on and off the planes had smiles on their faces, and while we were hanging around bugging the office staff, they continued to efficiently go about taking reservations and seeing to the needs of their flight-seeing customers. Talkeetna Air Taxi is awesome! Most incredible plane ride experience ever! Very much worth every cent!! Will never forget this!
