Half mile from the town, easy walk on the road or through the woods on a trail. Also located right on Susitna River, with beautiful views. Our beds were located upstairs in the loft of the room, but for people who have difficulty walking up steps there is a pullout sofa bed which the staff was more than willing to make up (we had a knee injury before arriving so stairs weren't ideal). Staff were very friendly and had great recommendations for food and activities. Would definitely stay there again! Beautiful lodge and cabins. Updated Cabins exceeded our expectations. Great views down by the river of the Denali range. Just outside of town. Perfect location. The cabin we stayed in was extremely nice! Rooms and facilities were great, lodging staff was super kind, and the beds/blankets were AMAZING! Be aware that they, like most places in the area, lack air conditioning in the cabins. Not an issue for me, might be for others. Highly recommended! Idyllic setting beside the Susitna River. We were in cabin 5...brand new for 2017. Two bedroom, one bath, sleeps 6. Mini kitchen (no stove /oven) with mini fridge, microwave, dishes, coffee pot with coffee, sugar, tea, cream, big chocolate. Close to office with TV, videos, half bath. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather during our stay. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful during the check in process. The cabin was immaculate and very inviting. The cabins are right on the edge of the river, with access and an amazing view. We made use of the BBQ grill just outside th cabin and made hamburgers. We then transitioned to the riverside fire pit and made smores by the water. The cabins are stocked with some supplies to cook. Crock pots, electric skillets, silverware, cups plates and bowls. The beds are super comfy! They didn't look like much, but we slept very good. Overall we had a fantastic experience that was worth every penny. Highly recommended!
