My husband and I visited on a Sunday morning. It's open seating - find a chair anywhere and take it- you will sit next to people you don't know. That was a surprise, but not a big deal. After over an hour of waiting for our food, we finally got it. Meanwhile, another couple at the table had been there before us and ultimately only received one of their two orders after TWO hours of waiting. The wife finally went to the bakery and bought a pastry to replace the breakfast she never got. A third couple came after us and waited so long they took their food to go because they weren't hungry anymore. The food was good, but definitely not worth the chaos and the wait. :-/ Stayed in their cool little cabin while hunting for the northern lights. The staff is amazing! The accommodations are eclectic and fun. A great place to stay for the adventurer. We were with a tour group through Norwegian Cruise Lines, so we were limited with time, but I wish we would've had an afternoon to spend. This place had the absolute best cookies I've ever experienced! Peanut butter, chocolate chip, and their gingerbread molasses cookies were outstanding! All of their food on display looked incredible. One day, I'll be back! Thanks. Quaint bakery/restaurant that has tons for rent upstairs, bunkrooms downstairs, and cabins in the back. The lounge had a woodburing stove, plenty of seating, and a game table. You can also see the Northern Lights standing outside! Excellent breakfast. Huge servings. For two just order one double entree and a side of bacon or reindeer sausage. Hot cakes are huge (falling off the plate huge)... Raspberry walnut and blueberry were great. We brought our own birch syrup... but they serve it for a few extra dollars. Highly recommended if you're only used to Log Cabin. Sausage gravy biscuits... two in a double order... We're delish. Service was great. The place is crowded... But arriving at 9am...the add a waiter for the back room, which opens up another 12-15 seats.
