This was by far the nicest hotel of my two weeks tour of Alaska. The room was large, with a fridge. Some of the pictures below were taken through the window of my room. Mount Denali was visible on this day, and keep in mind, the mountain is about 120 miles away! I then sat on the back deck and took photos as the sun set behind Mount Denali. Service was impeccable as was the food in the restaurant on site. Parking is plentiful. Stayed here for a corporate retreat and quite enjoyed the place! The room was clean and well appointed and the property is well maintained and very open. I would be quite pleased if we went there again! Wonderful place to stay, great people that work there. Food is tasty and clean rooms along with bathrooms. So many opportunities to do activities such as Fly tour, river rafting, zip lines are just a few. Trails all over the property that is peaceful, and we'll maintained. Enjoyed talking with the staff that is all over the world to contribute to make this Lodge one of a kind while in Alaska. Room was comfortable, nice beds & linens, good blackout curtains for the long hours of daylight. Convenient laundry rooms available for guest use ($2 wash, $1.75 dry, $2 detergent). Only ate breakfast, buffet replenishment slow but quality of food high. Nice seating areas in each wing. Beautiful views and grounds. The lodge is beautiful. I went to take out of state relatives sight seeing and the drive was definitely worth it on a beautiful day. The hotel staff seemed friendly for the most part, but the restaurant staff did not seem thrilled to have to serve a larger party of guests. I ordered confit duck salad, and it was plated beautifully. However, a few bites into it I found hard things in the duck that I assumed to be slivers of bone. It took a while for the waitress to check on us, and everyone else had nearly finished their meal. When she did see me though, she got me another menu and I ordered a super delicious salmon burger.
