Rustic. Awesome. AK. Walk to town. Not a glamorous 40ft class A rv plugged in sight, not a gravel parking lot/Walmart lot.. felt like we were out there on our own. River access, lots of space between private sights. $25 for a safe space to camp. Lots of room, camp fires and families. Perfect blend of amenities and camping. The sites were nice sized. The overall experience was pretty miserable due to loud, drunken campers playing music, yelling, and walking through our tent site multiple times looking for their friends or getting more wood to take back across the campground to the main party site. This all continued until after 3am. It's not the nicest in terms of facilities or for a super quiet romantic getaway. But for a family or get together, it's perfect. Walking distance from downtown & the campground has lots of greenery so your site has privacy. It's not your typical RV parking lot campground! its worth it if you'd like to spend a weekend in talkeetna. Some decent, wooded, camping sites but it's expensive, the owners were rude and rules such as dogs on leash were not enforced. This is rustic combat camping with no assigned spaces to say the least. No hook-ups. $25 per night.
