We went to Montana Creek campsite this last weekend and let me tell you, they are friendly but don't give them a card number! Only use cash and further more double check everything they do! They didn't book us when I called and booked so I had to spend 3 hours on the phone two days later trying to get a spot, then when we got their it was nice but we had to leave early cuz of the cold and so asked for the last night in a refund. They gave us too much apparently and asked for some money back once we got home! After all this I was still pretty understanding or at least trying to be, though I would Never ask a customer for money back once they had that sort of experience in the first place. So now they charge the difference but I don't have any refund! Their site is ok but not so great that they should be able to do that. Do not give your card information to Montana Creek campground in Talkeetna! No sewage dump for RV. Other wise it's quite nice. Decent fishing at the river next to it. Rainbow trout catch and release only. Nice people, nice atmosphere. If water and sewer hookups were available this would be a 5 star campground with it's outstanding Alaskan atmosphere, excellent fishing and the paved walking and biking trails. Paved paths are equipped with highway underpasses and a bridge over the creek too. Aside from the excellent fishing, Montana Creek Campground offers a great base camp for exploring the town of Talkeetna as well as for day trips to Denali National Park. Fishing is a short walk away and camp sites are clean
